The Arcadeans Bio

Take Phil Lynott's energy, Eric Clapton's melody and Keith Richard's subtlety, blend for 4 minutes and add course helpings of Nic Cester's (Jet) vocals and you get The Arcadeans, a 4 piece melodic rock and indie blues band.
 


The Arcadeans released their the latest EP in Jan 2020. It includes the single "Shadows in the Dark" added to the IPO 19 compilation CD and placed in the top 10 Rock category in the Great American Song Contest out of over 1800 successful entries. It also includes the self titled track Miles & Miles for release in December 2017. This will coincide with a 3 show appearance at Indie Week in Toronto, Canada.

The Arcadeans play the annual International Pop Overthrow in Liverpool at the world famous Cavern Club. This follows from a successful stint at the same venue in 2015. The IPO compilation CD 18, contains "Another Day" the single from the same titled EP launched in Jan 2015. 

The Arcadeans returned for a second year running to the YouBloom festival in Dublin in 2014.  2013 Festival highlights included 2 showcase events at the 2013 Indie Week Festival and the Dublin YouBloom 2013 Festival.

The Aracdeans featured at the International Peace Festival in July 2012. Ruby Angel from their Big Blue debut CD features in the finals of the Tipp International 2012 Song Of Peace. Video of the song on the night on you-tube

The Arcadeans placed no 2, with the second highest number of paid track downloads in the inaugural 2011 Tunebreaker UK download charts.


Resident in Cork, The Arcadeans draw their originality and creativity from 60’s music right through to modern day. Rather than follow a particular music style, The Arcadeans are influenced by guitar legends and composers past and present including people like Phil Lynott, Keith Richards, Rory Gallagher, Nic Cester (Jet), Noel Gallagher, Billie Joe Armstrong (Green Day)
